I have taught information systems at the University of the Cumberlands since 1989. I attended UC (then called Cumberland College) from 1984-1987. My undergraduated degrees included an Area of Concentration in Accounting and a major in Data Processing. While I didn't originally start out planning on teaching Information Systems, once I got here and started learning about programming, etc. I pretty much knew that I wanted to do something in the IT field. After a couple of years in St. Louis working on Masters Degrees in Business and Information Management, I received a job offer from UC, and I accepted. I've been an employee of UC ever since.

I'm originally from Somerset, KY but I live in Williamsburg now, and in addition to teaching full time here at UC, I am partner in a small print and office supply shop in LaFollette, TN.
